PMAS (Pakistan Meteorological and Agricultural Services) is a government organization that provides meteorological, agricultural and hydrological services to the public. The University was established in 2013 by the Government of Pakistan as an extension centre for the PMAS.<\/span><\/p>\n

A university’s accreditation has been granted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training of Pakistan under section 3(f)(ii) of the HEC Act, 1964. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded the University an ‘A’ grade.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2012, the Government of Punjab decided to establish two new universities in Lahore and Rawalpindi. In 2013, the first phase of construction work started on both campuses. On 22 March 2014, the foundation stone of the University was laid by then Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif officially inaugurated the university on 06 July 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n

The University has announced its new recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in various disciplines, including Botany, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Agronomy and Agricultural Engineering. The University has announced its recruitment process for admission into different courses. Candidates must apply through the official website www.uar.edu.pk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligibility requirements:<\/span><\/h2>\n

The University will accept applications from all candidates who meet the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n

1) Degree required in any field (BSc, MSc, PhD).<\/span><\/p>\n

2) A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required.<\/span><\/p>\n

3) Should be able to teach in the English language.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) You’ll need to send an application form, CV, and three letters of recommendation.<\/span><\/p>\n

5) Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Dean, College of Agriculture, PMAS Arid Agriculture Research Institute, Islamabad or from the university’s main campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) There is a written test followed by a personal interview as part of the selection process.<\/span><\/p>\n
